Advocacy Training

Wednesday, June 12, 2019 – Pittsburgh Marriott North, Cranberrry Twp., PA

What is Grassroots Advocacy? “Grassroots Advocacy” describes people
contacting their elected officials about important policy issues.
Why is Advocacy Important for the Housing Industry? As our elected
officials continue to struggle to meet the rising federal cost burdens, meeting the housing needs of the nations most vulnerable populations becomes increasingly difficult.  Decisions made today will have long term impacts on the future and availability of affordable housing.
Why Should We be Involved? Owners and property managers provide the human element that moves housing issues from concept to reality for members of Congress.  Many times the stories from the “front lines” of our industry can make the difference in the way our elected officials vote.
Who Should Attend this Training? Property Managers, Service Coordinators, Regional level leadership and Owners will find this to be valuable training.
